Sources
  1. Title: Jacquelin Mc Laughlin & Ron Stephens
Source Text: According to our Linebarger cousin, Jacqueline McLaughlin, "ANDREW JACKSON LINEBARGER fought in the Cayeuse Indian War, November 1848, in Company A, Captain John Setters Company D. Also fighting, were his brothers JOHN HENDERSON LINEBARGER and LEWIS LINEBARGER. The cause of his death, in 1861 is unknown. ANDREW JACKSON LINEBARGER's second wife , ELIZABETH MCBEE, and their two daughters, were found in the 1870 and 1880 census reports of Benton County, Oregon living ELIZABETH's father, or brother, J.W. MCBEE. and family." RON STEPHENS Comment: ANDREW JACKSON LINEBARGER was married first to LUCY ELEANOR GILMOUR, an older sister of JOHN THOJMAS GILMOUR, who married VIRGINIA LINEBARGER They had a daughter, ELIZABETH and that the mother [LUCY ELEANOR GILMOUR LINEBARGER died, when Elizabeth was very young, or possibly in childbirth. Convincing evidence appears from the 1860 Census for Linn County, Oregon, shows an ELIZABETH LINEBARGER, aged 7 in the house of JOHN W. GILMOUR and his wife JANE. {Their last name was spelled incorrectly as GILMORE in this Census} They were ELIZABETH]s grandparents and the mother of ANDREW JACKSON GILMOUR's first wife, LUCY ELEANOR GILMOUR.
