Title: Notes
Text:
He was in the Civil War. He was in The Iowa Calvery.
Ruth said his sons were named Sherman Ellis and John Warren
He moved to Livingston, Montana sometime after his wifes death. We believe
that he may have stayed with Charles Forbush and Ella Spoor Forbush. When
they moved to Missoula, Allen must have stayed in Livingston. The question is,
who was living in Iowa to take care of his remains when they arrived in Council
Bluffs.
was he buried in Council Bluffs, or Montana
He enlisted for the Union in Iowa 9/17/1862 as a private age 22.

These two affairs were incidents of an expedition against the

the tall grass, and killed the larger part of them, the Indian
