Ella met Mr. Graves when they lived next door to each other. Graves lived with his parents as did Ella and both were living in council Bluffs. They were married in possibly Nebraska. Graves may have been a heavy drinker and Ella divorced Graves when Celia was 1 and a half or two(abt. 1881). The story is that Graves would stand outside of Ellas window (she was now staying with her parents) and beg her to see Cecil. Ella refused. Ella found herself in Ogden NY. Some say she met Charles Forbush their but it is very possible they met in Iowa as Charles Forbush is mentioned in some old records as having been with a group of men who helped keep watch on Indian uprisings. We do believe she married Charles in Ogden Utah and she had both of her daughters(Florence and Undine) there. They around the year 1890 they moved to Montana. After Charles died, Ella ran a boarding house that was located on Philips Street in Missoula. It housed many railroad men. Then she married French very soon after Forbush's death. They soon moved to British Columbia as both of the two girls (Lois and Clair) were baptized in Grand Forks British Columbia. Not much later things were not well with Ella's health and Clair and Lois went to live with Cecil and Ella went to Alameda California and was staying with relatives. She soon became ill so Cecil went and got her to bring her home. That was in 1907. Ella died in the home of Cecil Graves Whitley.
