Text: ** "...I noticed two new books. "100 Years of Marriages of Trumbull County 1800-1900" The books were just received by the library late in 1999. One of the Volumes had not even had the binding open
ed yet. Well even though I knew Noah and Rebecca were probably in there and that I didn't even have to look, I thought that I would take a glance, just to make sure. I couldn't believe my eyes. Right next to the record of their marriage was Rebecca's father's consent. I couldn't believe it. All this time I always said I would believe if I only could find her and her father's name on the same document. Well I believe. "Joel Downs gives consent."
** "But if they were in a hurry to leave that may account for why they didn't sell it or sold it for cheap and that would account for why Noah was so poor and was buried in the "poor shepherds ground ."
** "Also, I have Rebecca being born in NY and also Samuel being born in NY. Do you know where in NY they might have been born? Did I tell you that I made contact with Martha Ann's descendants. Mar tha Ann was the youngest daughter of Noah and Rebecca Dunbar. They have Martha Ann's husband's journal and it has written all of the other childrens names and birth dates of Noah and Rebecca and als that Rebecca was born in 1803. I dont remember when I made contact with them, if it was before I called you or after I called you."
