Hertfordshire BIGG project
This is an informal one-name type study of BIGG / BIGGS / BIGGE etc in Hertfordshire , England ,in the 19thC and earlier .I welcome any contributions of information , corrections or alternative suggestions for the genealogy proposed here .As usual , you are advised to check sources yourself . There are bound to be errors so please let me know what you think .Note: the difficulty with this project is sorting out namesakes - the BIGG name was widespread and the BIGGs moved around rather more than was convenient for family historians . Thus it's not possible to rely on the VRI and IGI alone - supplementary info from actual parish registers, including witness names , burials , censuses , parish accounts and wills etc are vital - if you can contribute please let me know .If you would like a copy of the full GEDCOM , please let me know. My own BIGG line features in the GILLETT-HILLIER tree here on GenCircles , and more info is available on request.
