1. JOHN2 WALTERS (UNK1) was born Abt. 1833 in OK, KS, Germany, and died February 1886 in Tularosa River, Dona Ana, NM. He married ALVINA BACA Abt. 1871 in Mesilla, Dona Ana, NM, daughter of VICTOR BACA and MARIA MARTIN(ES). She was born 01 March 1854 in Mesilla, Dona Ana, NM, and died 14 May 1908 in Bent, Otero, NM.
Notes for JOHN WALTERS:
In the 1880 Census, in South Fork, Lincoln County, NM (ED18, Sheet 26) John Walters is age 47 and Alvina, his wife, is 25 years old. He indicated he was born in Ohio and that Alvina was born in NM. It appears that Henry Walters, Peter Walters, and John Walters are brothers. They were all born in NM and they all stated to the Census Taker , in1910, that their fathers was born in NM and their mother was born in NM. Note the sons state in 1920 that their father was born in KS, while the father previously said he was born in Ohio. Hopefully, with continued research we will discover where John Walters, born in 1833, was born. He was either born in Germany, TN, KS, or OH.
