From Surry Co Deed Book #4 1741-1746. 1 Sep 1744...John Macon and Gideon Macon, both of Edgecomb County in NC to William Parker of Surry County for 25 pounds current money...200 acres (William Hunt of Charles City County by his will dated 14 May 1714 gave his daughter Ann Hunt, 200 acres on north side of Nottoway River and 200 acres to his daughter Mary Hunt. John Macon married Anne Hunt and they had issue the aforesaid Gideon Macon. Anne Macon is now dead and her 200 acres belong to them as her heirs. Mary Hunt's 200 acres is not a part of this deed.) Wit: Thomas Sisson, Thomas Bedingfield, and Nathaniel Green. Rec: 19 Sep 1744 Signed John Macon and Gideon Macon.

John was appointed sheriff of Caroline Co, VA 11 July 1742. It is probable that he married after Anne Hunt, but there is no record.
