My family history occured in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. Some of the surnames go back 7 generations are;McDonald, Posey, Green, Byram, Whitley, Bird, Nelson, Osborn, Kidd, Ingram, Treece, Middlebrooks, Bird, Royal, Shaw, Camp, Hallmark, Efird, Stevenson, Blythe, Wright & Robertson. There are many more going back even farther. Most of the records date prior to the founding of the United States and some far, far back in time. Unfortunately, my direct line,is the tough one.
