Adams was born on September 13, 1865 in Danzig Germany and passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 1933 at the age of 65 years, 3 months and 14 days. When he was three years old he, with his parents, came to America and settled in Chicago where he lived until he was 13. He then moved to a farm near Denison. On February 19, 1889, he was united in marriage to Julia Salome Kappes. Seven children were born to this union. They are R.J. Adams, Dow City; Mrs. Howard Goering Miami Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Earl C. Brown, Sioux Falls, S. D.; J. Quincy Adams, Sioux City; Mrs. Wayne Keitjes, Danbury and Leo and Theresa at home. Deceased is survived by his widow, seven children and 16 grandchildren. Also two sisters, Mrs. Henry Bergstadt of Denison and Mrs. Albertena Hoffman of Chicago and one brother, Will Adams of Estherville, Iowa. The funeral services were held Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock at the St. Boniface church. Interment was made in the Charter Oak cemetery.* The pallbearers were Charles Quandt, Andrew Kraemer, Hugh Forley, Tony Winneke, Harry Osborne and Mike Copps.
