Individual:
Jacques Guyon du Buisson was born about 1566 in Perche, France. Perche is now known as Orne He died before 29 Sep 1623 in St Jn de Mortagne, Perche, Orne, France. Jacques Guyon du Buisson and Marie Hu
et were married on 15 Apr 1583. From Roger Chatell, 31 December 2002: I have recently become aware of research that provides ancestors to Jean Jacques GUYON (1562-1623). I cited Linda Mullen lemullen51@aol.com The additional generations are not unique to her on worldconnect.rootsweb.com, but I selected hers. Linda, can you please provide your original sources for the following?
Jacques GUYON's father was Mathurin GUYON (c.1530-?), and his father was Jean GUYON Sieur de Beaupre and Thaumetz (c.1500-?). Linda cites the Broderband World Family Tree, Vol. 2, Ed. 1, Tree #1133. S he also states that Jean accompanied Jacques Cartier on his 1534-35 voyage to Canada. The latter being, of course, the discoverer of Canada. What is more extraordinary, is that she states that the same Broderband tree indicates that Jean had a sister Catherine who was married to Jacques Cartier.
