Individual:
__________
Relationship to Reece-Thornton Genealogy Database Compiler: Great-Great-Granduncle
__________
Namesake: Middle name "Marshall" from his father Henry Marshall Klyce.
__________
Marriage: Mittie's marker in Alamo Cemetery says that she and James were married in Florence, Missouri, on 27 Feb 1873. However, the 5 Mar 1873 issue of "The Lauderdale Times and Journal" newspaper of Florence, Alabama, says that Mittie and James were married there on 17 Feb 1873. The marker in Alamo Cemetery apparently is in error.
"MARRIED. On the 17th ult., at the residence of Capt. O. S. Kennedy, the bride’s brother, by the
Rev. Hardy -----, J. C. Klyce and Miss Mittie Kennedy."
_____
"MARRIAGE LICENSES.
From February 19, to March 1.
J. M. Clyce and Mittee C. Kennedy."
(Note: "O. S. Kennedy" was "Oliver Sylvester Kennedy.")
(From "The Lauderdale Times and Journal," Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama, 5 Mar 1873.)
