Schlichting

Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Ruby Minnie (Arnold) Schlichting who passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at the Eden Home, Inc. at the age of 86 years. Ruby was born on November 2, 1918 to Herbert Arnold and Elfrieda (Schmalkake) Arnold in New Braunfels. She married Nelson Schlichting on February 8, 1935.

She is survived by two daughters, Norma Harvey and husband James of New Braunfels and Ruth Ann Hernandez and husband Raymond of Austin; one son, Norman M. Schlichting of San Antonio; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Ruby Arnold of Henderson, Texas.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Zoeller Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, May 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Comal Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to Hope Hospice or Eden Home, Inc.
