Born 12/13/1872 in Brooklyn, NY
Daughter of Capt. J.A. La Rue ( who came to NM in
1855) and Jeanie La Rue.
Came to NM a few months prior to the building of the
Santa Fe Railroad, lived in Lincoln Co. until 1882 then
then Las Vegas.NM
Married 6/4/1903
Died 4/4/1953
THOMAS W. La Rue (MRL's brother)
born 11/19/1876 in St. Louis
When 2yrs old moved to Lincoln Co.NM
From the above it appears that my grandmother went to NM
in 1878 when she was 6yrs old which is what she always
told me.Don't know about the wagon train part but it also appears thatthe RR was not yet built.
