Editha L. Bertrand
Lake Arthur - Funeral services for Edithal L. Bertrand, 70 , were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday sept. 16, at Our Lady of Lake Catholic Church. Msgr. Charles Dubois officiated.
Burial was in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the directio n of Matthew and Son Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.
A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, by Reb . Marty Martineau.
Mrs. Bertrand died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997, a t her residence.
A native of Hayes, she was a resident of Lake Arthur an d a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth James Bertrand Sr. of Cr owley: two daughters, Mrs. Janice B. Esthay and Mrs. Mehl (Racheal) Braud, both of Lake Arthur; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bertrand was preceded in death by her husband, Walte r James Bertrand; and two sisters, Rose DuDoit and Mrs. Leon (Edith) Broussard.
