Text: James worked for Scullin Steel Co. in St. Louis. was a saleman. His wife, Pauline Hausmann's family came from Labadie, MO and had a farm and orchard out there. Jack and Dad use to go out there squirrel hunting. Pauline was a good friend of the Vickers and I think that is how she met James.
He died between 1938 and 1944. Died in St. Louis. Was a Freemason.
James and some of his siblings were plagued by kidney disorders thought to have come from the close marriage ties of their parents, Mary Rose Barkdull and Joseph L. Glover. They were 1st cousins.
Jame's mother Mary Rose died when he was very young. His brothers Lewis and Thorne stayed with their father Joseph and an uncle in New Jersey. James, his brother Jesse and sister Florella went to live with their Aunt Olive (Mary Rose's sister) in St. Louis.
