Marriage:
À l'origine de la famille francophone la plus nombreuse en Amérique du Nord, il n'y a qu'un seul homme, nommé Pierre Tremblay, né vers 1626, à Randonnai, petite commune du Perche. Ses parents, Philibert Tremblay et Jeanne Coignet s'étai
ent mariés le 3 octobre 1623 à Saint-Firmin de Normandel, localité voisine. Ce même Philibert, cultivateur de la ferme "La Filonnière", meurt le 17 novembre 1642.
L'aventure attire Pierre Tremblay. Il est sensible aux discours tenus par des agents recruteurs pour la Nouvelle-France, dont celui de Noël Juchereau. Le 9 avril 1647, Pierre Tremblay signe un contrat d'engagement de 36 mois envers Noël Juchereau. Après avoir travaillé pour le sieur Juchereau, probablement à Québec, Pierre Tremblay se fixe sur la côte de Beaupré. Il a dû être à l'emploi de gens déjà établis, peut-être les Gagnon ou les Gravel.
À l'automne 1657, il fait la rencontre d'Ozanne Achon, native de Chambon, diocèse de La Rochelle. Celle-ci est la fille de Jean Achon et de Hélène Regnault et a été baptisée le 18 juillet 1633. Pierre Tremblay et Ozanne Achon signent un contrat de mariage devant le notaire Aubert le 19 septembre et la cérémonie religieuse est célébrée le 2 octobre suivant. De cette union, vont naître 12 enfants, dont 10 parviennent à l'âge adulte. Six filles seront les ancêtres fâeminins de familles au noms bien connus des québécois: Roussin, Gagné, Savard, Perron, Peymart dit Laforest et Pelletier. Quatre fils, Pierre, Michel, Louis et Jacques vont fonder des familles qui constituent les quatre branches du tronc Tremblay.
Pierre Tremblay va consacrer toute sa vie à l'exploitation de la terre. Le 4 avril 1659, il se voit concéder une terre à l'Ange-Gardien. Le 1er décembre 1678, Monseigneur de Laval va lui confier l'exploitation d'une ferme à la Baie Saint-Paul. Il voit aussi à l'établissement de ses fils, en leur facilitant l'acquisition de terres à la Petite Rivière Saint-François et aux Éboulements. La terre de l'Ange-Gardien est donnée le 9 mars 1696 par Ozanne Achon, veuve de Pierre, à Jacques, le troisième fils.
Ozanne est inhumée le 24 décembre 1707 à l'âge de 75 ans. Son époux, Pierre, l'avait précédé d'une vingtaine d'années. En effet, l'acte de sépulture de l'ancêtre est introuvable ou perdu. Divers documents nous permettent de dire que ce décès est survenu entre le mois d'avril 1687 et le mois de novembre 1689.
