Amoung these was a young a ndblooming lassie of the Wallace clan whom he discovered to be a kindr edspirit, a mutual attachment which sprung up between them ripened into Love. The first elders of the first Presbyterian church in Cecil Co. were Je anBrevard and Samuel Alexander and Peter Bouchelle. Church was called t hebroad Creek Presbyterian Church. Jean Brevard was a Hugguenot who fle dfrom France on the revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685,and settl edamong thd Scotch-Irish in the Northern part of Ireland.Came to Americ aswith the McNitts to Cecil Co Md. On 8/9/1726,John B revard of the Elder Broad Creek Church and David Alexander attendedthe N ew Castle Presbytery in DE.
