Text: Joseph appeared as a freeman at Fairfield in October 1669: "A List of ye names of ye freemen of towne of Fairefield ... Joseph Lockwood."
Joseph was Sergt. of the Fairfield Trainband. He was Deputy from Fairfield October 1681 and May 1696. The will of Sergt. Joseph Lockwood of Fairfield is dated 17 June 1715, sealed 29 April 1717, proved 10 June 1717. It mentions grandson Robert, son of Robert deceased; grandson Daniel Lockwood; daughter Susanna's children Nathaniel, Ephraim, Sarah and Ann Burr; residue to son John (Executor). Inventory was presented 27 January 1717/1718.
