MichelBoudrot immigrated in 1642 to Acadia. He died at the age
92 years.
He was listed as a resident in the census report in Port Royal in
1670 and 1686. The many Boudreau families living in Acadia be-
fore the expulsion of 1755 all decended from Michel Boudrot, a
native of La Rochelle area, West Central France. He arrived in 1642
with his wife Michelle Aucoin, by 1686 Michel had become a lieutenant
-general of the king at Port Royal. He was replaced as Lt. general of
Acadia by Mathieu Des Goutine on March 30, 1687, for reason of old
age ( 86 yrs old ). Ref: Inventuaire des Insinuations du Consell Souverain
de la Nouvelle - France ) His several sons spread throughout Acadia,
some staying on Port Royal, others settling at Pisiguit, Beaubassin, and
Grand Pre. After the Expuision the Boudreauxs, like their compatriots,
were excelled to various points along the North American seaboard, to
England and to France.
