Notes
Individual:
Possibly the words of daughter Stacey Hart Cameron, from Bonnie (Thomas) Kildoo, Pleasants County History:
"Dear mother [Matilda Stull] was not well. The custom of letting blood was used several times as it was with George Washington. She became weaker and bedfast. We were gathered at her bedside. She smiled, and we said, "what do you see Mother?" She said, "pretty, pretty" as she passed on, July 2, 1890. We think she saw visions of heaven."
