From the book, "Marylanders to Carolina- Migration of Marylanders to North
carolina and South Carolina prior to 1800"
Elias Lovelace was born on January 27,1755 in frederick County,Maryland and
when he was about 20 yesrs old he moved to Rowan County,N.C. He married Anne
Roby (born January 3,1757, daughter of Thomas Roby) on January 12,1775. In
May 1776, he volunteered as an Indian Spy for 3 months under Capt. Samuel
Reese, and in 1779 volunteered for 5 months under Capt. Jacob Nucholas. In
1778 he moved to Bulter County,Ky. for 7 years and then moved to McCracken
Co.,Ky. He applied for a pension on May 11,1833 and died in December
23,1834. His widow applied for a pension (W9143) on June 2,1840 aged 83.
Also mentioned were Andrew Lovelace (born February 3,1776); Elias Lovelace
(born January 27,1776, son of John Baptist Lovelace and wife Eleanor);
Margaret (or Peggy)Lovelace (living in 1840 and the widow of Elias' brother
Vachel Lovelace); and Nancy Hill (no relation) (Ref: AWB-62 and ADW-2126,
noting there were 2 pages of bible reccords on this family that were to dim
to read to on Microfilm M805 and advising readers to see National Archives
seris M804,Roll 1591, for a copy of the entire family).

There's a Elias Lovelace who was brother to Vachel Lovelace Vachel also had
a son Elias. Any info on him. Samuel Lovelace had a son Elias
Vachel Had a son Walter Lovelace b 1797 Graves Co,Ky. I'm beliveing that
Elias son of Samuel was Walter's Father b circa 1800 Caswell
Co,N.C. He was there while Young was in Rockingham Co,N.C Young had a
son William Young Lovelace b 1802 so it's for me to belive that
William E" Elias Lovelace b 1832 was grandson to Elias Lovelace 1757
PrWm Co,Va. Elias was brother to Zachariah,Young,Samuel,Pryor,George.
George died 1799 Caswell he was not found anywhere after the acclerated
index for 1790 which Samuel,Pryor,Young,George,Readham,
where found.Elias is not the Elias married in Surry Co,N.C moved to
Ky and was father of Andrew Sr. myself and Elvin have concluded that this is
a total different Elias son of Samuel brother of Samuel Jr.
Anybody hooked to MD,VA,MO,KY,NC,TN etc please display your families of
Zachariah,Young,Pryor,Samuel Jr.Here is my idea why i belive this.
Elias born 1757 PrWm Co,Va m abt 1787 Va? most Lovelace's married about age
30.Zachariah lived 80 years died Pike Co,MO Young Lived
1766 died 1841 Muhlenburg ,Ky 75 years.Samuel Jr b 1762 d about 79 years
Pryor b 1768 d?? George Lovelace 1772 d abt 18 years not found after
1790.Elias 1757 d abt 1835 about 73-75 years. Walter Lovelace
b 1800 died circa 1880 last census to 1885 abt 80-85 years.
son John William Lovelace b 1835 d 1914 79 years married to Martha Harris b
1835 d 1924 84 years.My Joseph Lovelace i found remarried
and still living by 1920 b 1858 d aft 1920 abt 60-65 years.
Thomas G Lovelace 1884-1952 68 years.Thomas D Lovelace 1907-1966
59 years.Thomaas E Lovelace b 1936-Present 64 years what i'm putting out is
heriditary patterns in which i've taken from Death Certificates
what they died of.Walter probaly died of old age,Hypertension,just like his
son John Wm Lovelace died of the same things.Thomas G Lovelace my great
granfather i found was a alcoholic,Wife beater,womanizer.Corinna my great
grandmother caught him cheating stabbed him 4 times he lived drank since he
was 14 years old.
was shot by shotgun by moonshiners rushed to docter.Lived died at home
Thomas & Corinna where having children before thay got married in
1905.Corinna died 47 years Oct 11 1936 from Flu.Thomas D Lovelace 1907
WW11 1938-Dec 1942 cousin Drury,George W Lovelace and him self shot by
Martinsville,-Henry Co Sherrif or police after trying or attempting to flee
from Jail From Bootlegging.Drury died 1944 from the gunshot wound 3 years
later due to the bullet being lodge in the spine.
George got married had a daughter died of a stroke. Thomas D Lovelace died
of the bullet wound that had festered inside gain green posioning
finished him off spine cancer.But the life cycles is what i'm looking
at.Alot of the familes moved to various states so i need the collected
information all the way back TO JBL himself like his direct children
Is Samuel was a brother or a son?? if Charles Lovelace b 1730-1797
Iredell Co,N.C was his also Archibald Lovelace who ended up in
Sadalia,Pettis,MO.

Elias, son of JBL, born January 27, 1755, moved from Fredrica, Md to
Rowan Co. NC at the age of 20. After serving 13 mo. in the Revolutionary
war, he moved to Kentucky, first to Butler Co. and then to McCracken Co.
He married Anne "Nancy" Robey and they had nine children, the first being
Capt. Andrew, Sr.
This info comes from a narrative taken from a McCracken County Historical
collection in the public library in Paducah, Ky.
Elias Lovelace, founder of the town of Lovelaceville,KY was born 1/27/1755 in Fredrick Co. MD. He was the son of John Baptist and Eleanor Lovelace. About 1775 the family moved to Rowan Co. NC. Elias married Anne Robey and moved in 1798 to Butler Co. KY. They moved in 1824 to McCracken Co. He died in Lovelacevile in 1834. Children: Andrew, Archibald, Elizabeth, John, Ann, Verlinda, Emily, Isaac and Cassandra.
Andrew married Rebecca Holman. Children: Elizabeth, Nancy, Elias, Archibald, Andrew, Jr., Rebecca and William H.. Andrew, Jr. married Eleanor Green Ashley and had 10 children. I have more detail if you will contact me directly - belovelace@juno.com
The only William in my branch was
born in 1672 in Baltimore. After MD they came west through Kentucky and
several generations stopped in Butler County and Ballard County
(Lovelaceville). Where is Corbin?
My gggrandfather Isaac Lovelace was born in Butler Co. in 1816 and went west
to MO then settled in Rogers Co. Arkansas in 1875. My Ggrandfather, James
Enos and my grandfather, John Ivy and my father Virgil Arthur were all from
Rogers AR.
I was born in Tulsa in 1942 and now live in Santa Fe NM. I have two sons 18
and 16. There is a pedigree of Lovelaces in beginning with my ggg Isaac at:
