From SPOONER`S VERMONT JOURNAL, Dec 15 and Dec 22, 1801:
"This is to forbid all person`s trusting or harboring EBENEZER WEST 2ND, on
the penalty of the law, for I will not pay any debts of his contracting."
signed GILMAN WEST, Father, Strafford, Nov. 7, 1801.
Oct 1806 he stole a horse in Strafford VT. and fled to Concord, NH. (covered
in a letter from Aaron Loveland to Daniel Webster, Feb.14,1807,now in the
Dartmouth Archives).
