Catherine was a little more than a month old when her father died and only four years old when her mother died. She was raised with the Michael & Mary Dinley family. Michael Dinley was the brother of Catherine's mother, Ann. She always referred to him as "Uncle Mickey".
Catherine's maid of honor at her wedding was Kitty Conoly Schilling.
