This file is a service to all fellow descendants of John Smith and his wife Mary Bull and her brother Thomas Bull of Manchester, Vermont (including how they and thus we share ancestors with Winston Churchhill and Pres. Bush on the Bull side thru Deborah Rowland, a common ancestor) with particularly emphasis on sons Abraham Smith and Nathan Smith who moved to Morgan County, Ohio and their descendants -- and along with descendants of Josiah Foster and his daughters Marian/Mary Ann Foster/Deming who married Abraham Smith and Rosannah Foster/Deming who married Abraham Smith's brother Nathan Smith -- following their Foster/Forster ancestors back to both William Brewster, Mayflower descendant and Founder of Plymouth Colony thru his/their/our Freeman/Prence and Brewster ancestors and back to William the Conqueror, John Forster (signer of Magna Carta) and on further directly back to Charlemagne in 700's following his Foster/Forster ancesotrs --along with fellow descendants of John Deming (who led first settlement of Connecticut (Wethersfield, CT) and is listed on charter as one of individuals who petitioned King to make Connecticut a separate colony)and Elizabeth Deming of Wethersfield, CT -- so as to try to compile in one place all info that we collectively have. If you have suggestions or corrections, please let me know. Where there are conflicts of info I will try to fully disclose them in the notes on each individual -- but generally I will give priority to any info that is documented with priority given first to family bibles, second to official birth marriage and death records (but often official records have misspellings etc. that family bible records do not have), third to other offical records such as census records, fourth to local history books and compilations of local history, and fifth to other sources. But I will also give priority to info about individuals coming from a researcher that is a direct descendant of those individuals in that line of descent (as an example, if info is about Nathan Smith, will defer to descendants of Nathan Smith as to what is correct info). I hope that Smith, Foster, Deming, Bull, Bush etc. descendants find this a useful common file to gather together in all one place all the info everyone has gathered -- and continues to gather.
