Kit Adams, 68, Dies at Elkader
C.H. (Kit) Adams, for many years a resident of McGregor, passed away at the
county insane hospital last Friday. He had made his home there for a number
of years, going there when F.L. McCreary was superintendent of the hospital.
Funeral services were held from the Pilkington Undertaking Parlor Sunday.
Christopher Harley Adams was born February 27, 1871, at Cascade, Iowa, and
passed away at the Elkader Insane Hospital September 15th, 1939.
He was the youngest son of John and Rosena Adams and the last of the family
to pass on.
Three brothers, one sister and his parents preceded him in death.
He moved with his parents to McGregor at the age of 12 years and has spent
his life in McGregor until five years ago.
