Text: Henry moved to Texas in the 1840's and enlisted September 1, 1847 as a private in the Mexican War, age stated as 28 years. He joined his regiment at Comargo, Mexico in December 1847. He was discharged May 1, 1848 near vera Cruz, Mexico.
Henry is reported to have been in the home of his brother Christopher July 16, 1864 when his nephew Henry was born. This is the last reported mention of Henry. Henry is reported to have died after 1864 somewhere in Texas. He never married.
