Descendants of Bryan Dougherty, thought to be born in 1730, just after family arrived in Penn. from the Laggan Valley, (1727) This valley is in East Central Donegal, Ireland. This was referred to as the Cauldwell Settlement. Some went into Virginia, N.C. and over the Mountains to Tenn, Kentucky later.
His son Jacob spelled his name Daughtry, as did many of his descendants. Some spelled their name Daughtrey and other Daugherty.
