Ambrose Jones wills to wife Catherine for her lifetime all my estates and
at her death to go to children; to son Gabriel a part of land I now live
on, on Aaron's Creek and Long Branch at Charles Harris' line by his
paying two years after his mother's death, 200 pounds to my executors;
which money I give to my son's, daughters, and grandchildren, namely,
James, Ambrose, Stephen and Reuben; Elizabeth Winfree, Ann Sanford, Phebe
Gregory and Peggie Davis(Davies??) and John Brassie; to grandson John
Brassie, 5- pounds.
Executors: Sons James, Stephen and Gabriel Jones.
Witness: John ??, George Brown, John Mitter

Sale of part of estate of Ambrose Jones sold November 13, 14, 15, 16, 1799 by Gabriel Jones , exr.

November 8, 1799
James, Ambrose, Stephen, Reuben, and Gabriel Jones, James Winfree, Robert Sanford, Thomas Gre gory, William Davie, John Bressie agree to place the estate of Ambrose Jones, deceased, to public sale Wednesday, November 13, 1799 as agreed by them and Catherine Jones, widow. WTS: Sterling Yancey.

The above parties make joint bond of 1000 pounds Virginia money that since estate of Ambros e Jones, deceased, is sold and to be paid for December 25, 1800 and if not paid for, each of them will assume his portion of non-payment to the executor. WTS: Philip and Sterling Yancey.

Final settlement of estate of Ambrose Jones, deceased, August 1807 by executors Stephen and G abriel Jones, who declare they have paid the nine legatees and they are satisfied.

James Jones and wife Ann, deed to Ambrose Jones, Sr. for all that land in Granville County wi lled to James Jones by Robert Jones, deceased, November 13, 1771. (I believe James is Ambrose's brother).
