Individual:
I ONLY MET UNCLE GORDON DURING GRANPA J.JAMES DEATH.
MY FATHER SEEMED TO FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE WITH JOHN AS WE ALWAYS STAYED WITH HIM WHEN WE VISITED NEWPORT,even though he loved his brother Gordon.I also think John had more rooms for us to stay.
HE WORKED FOR THE CITY IN THE SHERIFFS DEPT.I THINK HE WAS THE SHERIFF.
AT HIS DEATH AND AUNT LILLIANS THE CROWDS THAT CAME TO PAY RESPECT WERE VERY LARGE,I CAN REMEMBER THAT THEY EXTENDED ALL THE WAY OUT OF THE FUNERAL PARLOR AND DOWN THE STREET. .HE IS BURRIED WITH THE REST OF THE FAMILY AT THE COMMON GRAVEYARD IN NEWPORT R.I.WE STAYED AT HIS HOUSE A FEW TIMES.HE LIVED OVER BY THE MANSIONS OFF BELVADERE ST.OFF TO THE LEFT
A COUSIN OF OURS ALSO WORKED WITH HIM AT THE CITY HALL.HER NAME WAS CONNIE O,NIEL.SHE IS THE ONE WHO HELPED ME TO ASSEMBLE THIS FAMILY TREE.SHE ALSO LIVES IN NEWPORT ON TILLY STREET..
HE HAD A WIERD SENCE OF HUMOR,NOT UNLIKE MINE.HE WAS A REAL GOOD GUY.
