Individual:
Steven made his living as a wall paper hanger. He died of chronic heart disease and is buried in an unmarked grave in Chippiannock Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois. His first wife died at the age of 28. Shortly after (about 1 year), his daughter Bessie died of pneumonia. He then married Sarah Cordelia Lambach. Sarah and Stephen in turn had twins, Mildred and Phillip Archer. He and Sarah divorced, and for some reason, Sarah got his two boys. Sarah remarried to Adam Heavlin. When Sarah had children with Adam, it soon become evident that they couldn't afford to have all the children they had. As told to me by my aunt Faye (Archer) Bentley, (whom knew Sarah in earlier years), Sarah and Adam gave Stephen's 2 boys up to an orphanage. (This is where the boys supposedly run away from, and joined a carnival in Texas).
Stephen seemed to have disappeared as far as everyone knew. No one in the immediate family knew much about him except his name until my cousin and I turned up information on him.We have since found out most all there is to find, including his burial site and also retrieved his death certificate.
