Arminta Pope was the last born to William Monroe and Catherine McBride Pope . Sh
e was born in Grantsville,Tooele,Utah , July 23 1862. She was fifteen when her mother died. She kept house for her father.
McGee Harris lived in Richmond, Utah and probably met Arminta while he was visitin g his sister Cassanda, at Richmond. McGee was a nephew of Cassanda's husband Zera Whittle.
Arminta and McGee were married May 20 1882. Arminta's happiness was short lived f or she died after only ten months of marriage. She died at childbirth. The baby died soon after. McGee married again and became a prominent man in Gentile Valley, in Idaho.
