Notes
Individual:
Marshall Maynor moved with his family from Georgia to Russell County, Alabama, as a small child. He moved on to Smith County, Mississippi, between 1850 and 1859, where he was farming by 1860. He served in the Civil War (MS 46th Infantry, Company G) and was captured in Vicksburg on 4 July 1863. After the war he returned to farming in Smith County. By 1880 he and Susannah and their children had moved to Hinds County, Mississippi.
