Chronicles I 2:6 Zarah and his twin brother Pharaz were fathered by Judah with Tamar ,whom ha d been the wife Er. Some want to say that by Jewish law,the twins were the children of Er, Because his brothers and father had an obligation to provide seed for Er. Matthew 1:3 States that Judah was the father, so Judah is listed as the father. Joshua 7:18 And he brought his household man by man; and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was taken.
