Thomas de Vere married by 17 June 1315, possibly as his 2nd wife, Agnes, allegedly daughter o f William de Ros, of Hamlake, and widow of Payn Tibetot. [Burke's Peerage] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Agnes de Ros, d. shortly bef. 25 Nov 1328; m. c 25 Apr 1298 Pain de Tybetot, 1st Lord Tybetot, b. 11 Nov 1279 or 24 Jun 1281, slain at the battle of Bannockburn 1314, son of Sir Robert de Tybetot and Eve, daughter of Pain de Chaworth. [Magna Charta Sureties] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- He [Payn Tybotot] married, sometime before 3 September 1311, Agnes, daughter of William [DE ROS), 1st LORD ROS OF HELMSLEY, by Maud, younger daughter and coheir of John DE VAUX. He was killed at the Battle of Bannockburn, 24 June 1314, aged about 34. Agnes married, 2ndly, before 17 June 1315, Thomas DE VERE, only son and heir apparent of Robert, 6th EARL OF OXFORD.
