Nele; married 1st after 1107 (but later repudiated) Maud, formerly wife of Robert de Mowbra y (originally Mon(t)brai in Normandy), Earl of Northumberland, her marriage to the latter having been declared null due to their kinship. [Burke's Peerage] Note: I do not currently know what the relationship was between Maud and Robert de Mowbray which caused their marriage to be nullified. -------------------------------------------------- He [Robert de Mowbray] m. in 1095, Maud, daughter of Richer de Laigle, by Judith, sister of Hugh, Earl of Chester. She was permitted, after 1007, by Pope Paschall II, to m. 2ndly, Nele d' Aubigny, who repudiated her. She appears to have been living in 1130. [Complete Peerage IX:705-6]
