Notes
Individual:

He [Thomas de Vere] married, before 10 June 1350, Maud, daughter and heir of Sir Ralph DE UFF ORD, Chief Justice of Ireland, brother of Robert (de Ufford), 1st Earl of Suffolk, by Maud, widow of William (DE BURGH), 3rd EARL OF ULSTER, and daughter of Henry, 3rd EARL OF LANCASTER, grandson of Henry III. He died at Great Bentley, Essex, September (12-18) 1371, and was buried at Earls Colne. Dower was assigned to his widow 25 February 1371/2. Robes of the Garter were provided for her in 1386, 1388-90 and 1399. In 1404 she took part in Essex in the conspiracy against Henry IV, and was put in the Tower; but she was pardoned on 16 November. She died 25 January 1412/3, presumably at Great Bentley, and was buried at Bruisyard, Suffolk. [Complete Peerage X:226-7, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
