Witness: Jordan Bass(x)
From: "Bob Bass" rebass@bellsouth.net
Subject: (Bass-L) Theo. Bass son of Jacob St.
In the past I have gotten several queries as to proof that Theophilus was the son of Jacob Sr. of Franklin Co. NC. All I had previously seen was the fact that Theo. was the administrator of Jacob's estate. I found an abstract of the 1771 Bute Co. NC Tax List. The abstract says that Jacob and son Theo. paid taxes. If this abstract is correct it should provide the proof required.
