Obituary:
Angelina Plant Swift, wife of Henry Fearing Swift. Educated in Norwich and New Haven. Upon her marriage she removed to Detroit, Michigan, she was a leader in society, prominently connected with charities there. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, in charge of Primary Sunday School. She was Director of the Flower Missions, a member of the Missionary Society and President of the Ladies Aid Society.
"No single virtue we could most commend whether the wife, the mother, or the friend. For she was all, in that Supreme Degree. That as no one prevailed so all was she the several parts lay hidden in the piece, the occasion but exerted that, or this."
From her husband's Obituary:
The wife of Henry Fearing Swift, who died last September, was formerly Miss Plant of Branford and was a very handsome woman. She was a sister of the late Mrs. William T. Norton of Norwich.[Lodato Family.FTW]
