OUR FAMILY TREE - The BURSILL Branch
The BURSILL family are from Middlesex in England. William BURSILL was sent as a convict to Australia aboard the "ASIA" which arrive in Sydney on 28 December, 1820, where he founded a dynasty which is still flourishing throughout Australia today. Most of the groundwork of this research was carried out by Jack Bursill and June Braby with Glenys Gilpin as a major contributor, in a book called "From Convict to Gentleman". I have since attempted to carry on their great work.
