NOTE: on 24 Feb 1670/71 in Old Rappahannock Cty Records, page 456, John Ware, son of Nicholas Ware, Sr. , deceased, disposed that he became 14 on 19 Oct 1669 and chose for his joint guardians, Col. John Vassall and Capt. Thomas Hawkins. Thus I use 19 Oct 1655/56 as his date of birth. Copy of the above is in the hands of James H. Ware.______________________________________________ On pages 218-219, Deeds and Will Book#1, 1701-1707, Westmorland Cty, VA, the will of John Ware of the County of Westmorland. Will was dated 24 Jul 1703 and was proved 29 Mar 1704. The Last Will and Testament of John Ware Being very sick and weak, dated 24 Jul 1703. To my son John Ware, all my land. If in case he should die without heir lawfully begotten, my daughter Elizabeth shall have the land, and if she die, then my sons-in-law Anthony Morgan and Robert Morgan shall have the land. To my daughter Elizabeth Ware, year old heifer and two gallon iron pott and pot hooks. The remainder of my estate to my well beloved wife, Elizabeth, making her whole executrix.
