See the notes in the birth section. It is my belief that Vassall is correct from notes on marriage, father's will, husband's will and other data in this genealogy. Her husband Nicholas Ware is listed on the Vassall Pedigree which is available from the Library of Congress. Ann Vassall, age 6, along with sisters Margaret, age 2, and Mary , age 1, and Mother Ann, age 42, shipped from London on the "Blessing." Jo. Lecester or J. Lester, Master, on 17 June 1635. First name variations: Ann, Anne, Annette. See Meyer, p.649 & Hotten, p. 93-94. Many record Annette's death in 1657, yet in August 1662 she renounced the administration of her husbands will as his widow.
Marriage Notes for Nicholas Ware and Ann Vassall:
NOTE: The marriage was reported on page 787 in "New England Marriages, Prior to 1700, " by Clarence Almon Torrey, genealogical Publishing Co., Baltimore, MD, 1985. This date may be in error because the Will of "Anna Ware, wife of Nicholas Ware and thier children." There are further land transaction concerning the William Vassall Estate whereby Nicholas Ware buys out the bequests to other hiers. These transactions were in 1656 / 1657. The place of marriage may be correct as the Vassall family did live in this area.
