Kicked to Death!
Frank Wiser died from effect of Horse's kick.
He was kicked in the stomach Saturday and lingered along until Sunday, when he passed away.
Frank Wiser, a prominent farmer living about six miles from here, near Seymour Lake, died Sunday afternoon from the effect of a kick received from his horse, Saturday night.
Mr. Wiser owned a high stepping steed which, with all its spirit was supposed by all to be gentle in every way. Mr. Wiser was in the barn Saturday night taking care of his horses. In bedding them down he passed behind his favorite steed which, with a savage look, kicked viciously at him, striking him in the pit of the stomach. He fell backward and was for a time unconscious, but soon recovered enough to crawl to the house where after relating his accident he again became unconscious. A boy was immediately dispatched to this village and soon returned with Dr. Cole. During this time Mrs. Wiser had done all that was in her power to restore her husband to consciousness again, but unable to do so was nearly frantic when the doctor arrived. Dr. Cole gave him all the help medical assistance could give, but held out no hopes for his recovery, and Sunday his spirit passed away.
Mr. Wiser was insured in the Foresters for $2,000, in the Maccabees for $2,000 and had $500 in the order of Ben Hur. He was 56 years old and leaves a wife and four children. He was one of the prosperous and well known farmers of this locality and a host of friends mourn his untimely death.
The funeral at the Seymour Lake Church Wednesday was attended by a large number of relatives and friends, many of them from this village.
