J. Frank Wiser Taken By Death
Former official of Elks Dies at Home Here Saturday
J. Frank (Bud) Wiser, lifetime Pontiac resident and active in the Elks lodge here, died Saturday at his home 6231 Lindsey.
Forty-seven years old, Mr. Wiser was born in Oakland County on Oct. 16, 1902, the son of Newton and Rose Goldorf wiser.
He attended Pontiac schools and married Lucy Barnfield August 23, 1946 at Bowling Green, Ohio.
Mr. Wiser was secretary of the Elks in 1942-43, resigning to enter the U.S. army during World war II. he was inner guard of Elks during 1944 through 1947 and had been secretary of the bowling league of the organization in 1941-1942.
He had been employed as bookkeeper for Stroh's distributors of Pontiac.
Surviving besides his widow and his parents is a sister, Mrs. Curtis Flath of Pontiac.
Service will be from the Elks Temple at 2 p,m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ivol Curtis of All Saints Episcopal Church officiating.
Bearers who are fellow workers and Elks include Thomas Schiefler, Leland Gutzke, Robert Roberson, Simon Repovsh, Ralf Haney and Marshall Mitchell.
The Elks Lodge at large will act as honorary bearers, with M. E. Siple conducting graveside service.
The body will be at the Donelson-Johns Funeral home until 11 a.m. Wednesday.
