Vicky Sue (Moran) Bayless, 55, of Topeka, passed away, Sunday, February 5, 2006 at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City. She was born February 10, 1950 in Topeka the daughter of Floyd and Beth Moran. Vicky was a graduate of Washburn Rural High School. She attended Washburn University and Clarks Business School. Vicky was employed by the City of Topeka under the Water Pollution and Public Works Departments for 28 years until her retirement. She served as a board member of Topeka Credit Union many years. She was married to Leonard Bayless in 1985. They later divorced. Survivors include her son, Brandon Bayless, Topeka; her father, Floyd Moran, Auburn, KS; her sister, Sandra Brooke, Topeka; two nieces, one nephew and three great nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Beth Moran and her infant sister. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at the Auburn Cemetery. Vicky will lie in state after 12:00 noon Thursday at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. that evening.
