"Barrett, Thomas T., Jr. Enl. Jan 28/64, Lyons' Store, residence: Hawkins County, no family; captured Strawberry Plains. Born 26 Oct 1821; died 9 July 1896.
Thomas was the son of Thomas Barrett and Winnie Harrell Shaner. He is buried
in the Barrett Cemetery in the Shiloh Community, Snowflake, Hawkins County.
He married Susan J. Charles; b. 4 Sept 1824, d. 4 March 1907; buried Barrett Cemetery."
