Descendants of John Lund
John Lund (1819-1904) was the son of Jane Ibbitson who brought him from Yorkshire to New Brunswick abt 1820, and the stepson of George Lund who married Jane in Sackville NB in 1821. This file includes all my recorded descendants of John Lund and his wife Mary Ann(Towse) - over 1,000 of us! Of their 12 children, one died in infancy, 8 moved west with their families in the 1880s to homestead along the Manitoba/Saskatchewan border - John and Mary Ann joined them, when they were about 65! The other 3 sons remained in the Sackville area. James and his descendants have maintained the Cookville farm outside Sackville founded by George Lund soon after the marriage. Some of their descendants moved west, others to Boston and elsewhere in the USA. This has been a fascinating voyage of discovery, any information you can add or correct will be much appreciated.
