Lunds of Prince Edward Island
Includes the best known Lunds on PEI, descendants of the presumed brothers William Lund (1789-1873) and Robert Lund (1791-1855), who both arrived aboard the Valiant from Yorkshire England in 1817. Other Yorkshire settlers arrived on this ship also, including John Towse and other Yorkshire folk who settled in the vicinity of Sackville NB.
These 2 Lunds may be related to my George Lund, who is recorded in the 1851 census as having arrived in Sackville in 1817.William and Robert Lund are believed to be brothers: they fit by birthdate within a family of Lunds residing in the Overton area of North Yorkshire; they had a brother George born abt 1798. See notes for William and Robert for details. Also included here are several Lunds I have not been able to place in either family tree although they likely belong in one or the other.
