Individual:

From the Garvin file in the records of Lancaster County (PA) Historical Society came the following information: The Garvin family originally came from Scotland and were descendents of David Garvin, (born 1651 near Dumbarton, Scotland; died 1699 near Londonderry, Ireland). He married 1673 Elizabeth ?. Because of religious views, being Presbyterians, they had to leave Scotland and went to Ireland.

The P. K. Williams Family indicates the Garvin Family emigrated to Londonderry in 1684 and settled in a colony of Conventanters.
