Notes
Individual:
In Richard s Castle

He [Robert de Mortimer] married, in 1210, Margaret, widow of Hugh DE FERRIÈRES, and daughter and heir of Hugh DE SAY, by Mabel, daughter of Robert MARMION. He died before 5 July 1219. Very shortly afterwards Margaret married, 3rdly, William DE STUTEVILLE. She appears to have died before the autumn of 1242. William de Stuteville died in or before May 1259, holding various lands in right of Margaret his late wife (e). [Complete Peerage IX:258-61, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
(e) He [William de Stuteville] must have had issue by Margaret because he held the inheritance till his death. Probably the Robert, son of William de Stuteville, who had pardon, 20 Jun 1262, for the death of John Holle of Radnor, killed some time earlier in the March of Wales, was their son. This Robert was kept in prison by Henry de Montfort, the King's enemy, and sold for his ransom the manor of Withersfield, which the King restored to him in Nov 1265. He was possibly taken when Hugh de Mortimer surrendered Richard's Castle to Montfort in 1264.
