Notes
Individual:

Jim Weber writes: Some people have Hugh's death as 1120, and at least one other has "aft 1123". I believe that his death may have been well after 1123, otherwise Beatrice would not have divorced him, and later married William de Say.

Carl Boyer writes: According to Burke s Peerage (1970) Richard de Talbot was mentioned in Domesday as holding nine hides of land under Walter Giffard, Earl of Buckingham. Richard allegedly married the daughter of Gerard de Gournay, Baron of Yarmouth, and had two sons : Geoffrey, who was progenitor of the Talbots of Bashall in Yorkshire, and younger son Hugh.

Hugh de Talbot was made governor of Plessis Castle in Normandy by his uncle, Hugh de Gournay, who was then, in 1118, in rebellion againest King Henry I. Hugh later became a monk, retiring to the monastary of Beaubeck in Normandy, leaving behind his wife, Beatrix, daughter of William de Mandeville, and three sons, of whom Richard was the eldest.
Jim Weber shows Beatrice marrying Hugh Talbot in 1132 with two children, born in 1134 and 1135.
He also shows Beatrice marrying William de Say bef 1133 after her divorce from Hugh Talbot, again with two children, born in 1133 and 1135. All of these date cannot be correct. Jim cites Burke s Peerage and Complete Peerage for the marriages but says no dates were given. He bases the 1133 on a birth date for Geoffery de Say and says that William was older.
